Service Chief, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist - BWC

Sheppard Pratt is seeking a Service Chief for the Child and Adolescent Day Hospital program on our new Baltimore/Washington Campus. This facility, just opened in 2021, provides our patients with a state-of-the-art environment for acute behavioral health care services. The day hospital treats adolescents with mood disorders, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder, and other mental health conditions.

The Service Chief is responsible for ensuring that quality psychiatry services are provided to the patients of the day hospital. The role is a mix of both administrative and clinical duties, seeing around 10 adolescents per day and being part of the weekend inpatient attending pool. The Service Chief works with the Program Director of Day Programs on clinical programing. This position reports to the Medical Director for Child and Adolescent Services.

The ideal candidate will have experience and expertise managing acute psychiatry care services, works well in an interdisciplinary team, and will have the ability to focus on both quality care and continuity of care.

Requirements:

Current license to practice in Maryland at the time of appointment Completion of a Child Fellowship Board certification

The pay range for this position is $265,000 minimum to $325,000 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, board certifications and years and level of related experience.
