Sheppard Pratt is seeking a Service Chief for Child and Adolescent inpatient services on our Towson Campus. The Towson location is hub for many of our core psychiatry services including inpatient, day hospital, urgent care, neuromodulation, research and other state-of-the-art mental healthcare services. There are five child and adolescent inpatient units on this campus, all of which provide exceptional care for this patient population.
The Service Chief is responsible for ensuring that quality psychiatry services are provided to the patients on an inpatient unit. The role is a mix of both administrative and clinical duties, seeing around 10 adolescents per day and being part of the weekend inpatient attending pool. The Service Chief works with the Nursing Unit Manager and is collaboratively responsible for achieving quality of care and performance goals for the unit. This position reports to the Medical Director for Child and Adolescent Services.
The ideal candidate will have experience and expertise managing acute psychiatry care services, works well in an interdisciplinary team, and will have the ability to focus on both quality care and continuity of care.
Requirements:
