What you will be doing
An Albertsons IT Service & Delivery Technician II is a vital role in any organization that relies on technology. You will be traveling store to store installing, configuring, testing, and deploying hardware and software systems across various platforms and devices. This sometimes will require overnight or early morning shifts, depending on the project. You will also provide technical support and training to end-users, ensuring that they can use the technology you deployed effectively and efficiently. You will be working with a team of IT professionals to plan and execute projects, such as upgrading network infrastructure, migrating data, or deploying new hardware. The position will be based in New Hampshire, Seacoast, However, you will be traveling to different Shaws owned stores daily. This includes locations in Maine, Northern Mass and farther states with advance notice.
Main responsibilities
Accountability for receiving, staging, and tracking IT equipment and tools for retail stores. Conduct pilots of installation process and procedures for retail equipment Support standard hardware platforms and systems installed throughout Albertsons retail stores, district offices, distribution centers, and production plants. Repair all approved standard technology hardware, including PC/server hardware, network hardware, multi-function printers, scales, iPads, eCommerce picking devices, self-checkout & point of sale equipment. Provide network and remote connectivity (hardware/software) support. Manage the installation of new hardware and software. Maintain equipment inventory controls and policies. Work with management on assignment of problems, support issues and concerns with computer systems Provide customers with IT support; meet goals for service level agreements. Interface with all Corporate IT groups for on-site support and technology resolutions. Adhere to repair standards and service levels established. Travel will be required to store locations for equipment installations, some out of town and includes overnight stays.
What we are searching for
High school graduate, BA/BS degree preferred. 1+ years retail business experience. 1-3 years IT/Technical training post high school includes Operating Systems and hardware certifications. Internal or external experience with technology systems and hardware. Information Technology project implementation exposure with 2 year’s technical systems experience. Exposure and understanding of Scales & Wrapping Systems. Good mechanical skills. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem-solving skills. Able to think strategically and conceptually while managing details. Able to work independently but also a strong team player. Must have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, day, swing and overnight. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment, some twisting and turning with equipment installs. Must have a good, safe driving record. Must have own personal transportation. Strong sense of urgency, business ethics, dependability and follow through.
