NetImpact Strategies is seeking aService Desk Senior Support / Mac Engineer to join our team, in support of a federal client onsite in Bethesda, MD.
The Service Desk Senior Support Engineer is highly skilled, with expertise in providing exceptional technical support for macOS environments. He should be experienced in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to hardware, software, networking, and applications in Mac-based systems. Proficient in managing user accounts, software installations, system configurations, and maintaining Apple devices in corporate environments, he should be adept at providing both remote and on-site support. With excellent communication skills, he should maintain strong interactions with end-users. Knowledgeable in supporting cross-platform integrations, he should ensure that Mac devices adhere to organizational security policies, delivering timely and high-quality solutions to end-users.
Responsibilities:
Mac System Support: Provide advanced technical support for macOS devices, including troubleshooting, system configuration, and resolving hardware and software issues. User Account Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls on macOS and integrated systems, ensuring proper configuration and security. Software Installation and Updates: Install, configure, and update software applications, operating systems, and necessary patches on Mac devices, ensuring optimal performance and security. Technical Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to macOS, including network connectivity, applications, printers, email, and peripheral devices. Device Configuration and Imaging: Configure and image Mac devices for end-users, ensuring that they meet corporate standards and security requirements. Support for Cross-Platform Integration: Assist with integrating macOS devices into mixed environments with Windows and Linux systems, ensuring seamless collaboration and data exchange. Security and Compliance: Ensure Mac devices adhere to company security policies, including the application of security patches, encryption (e.g., FileVault), and endpoint protection software. Remote and On-Site Support: Provide both remote support via tools and on-site assistance for Mac users across different locations, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain clear documentation for common issues, resolutions, system configurations, and support procedures to improve team efficiency and user self-service. Training and Mentoring: Provide training and guidance to junior support staff, helping them develop their technical skills and improve customer service standards in a Mac-specific environment. QualificationsRequired
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 3+ years of experience in a service desk or IT support role with a focus on Mac systems.Preferred
Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) Previous Federal Consulting Experience#LI-Onsite
