The Opportunity:
The Service Desk Specialist provides in-depth desktop support to Fisher Investments Japan and its employees. You will manage troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex PC and network problems. You will report to the Team Lead.
The Day-to-Day:
Provide tier 1 and tier 2 support to end-usersPerform installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of end-user software and hardwareEstablish network connectivity ,hardware and software configurationSupport third-party software applicationsResponsible for tracking, resolving, or escalating all incidents and requests in ServiceNowImplement physical end-user inter- and intra- office relocation servicesResponsible for software pushes and desktop imagingProvide Tier 1 Telecom SupportHelp develop and improve the Service Desk's efficiency and customer service ratingOrders equipment and services for employee business usageProvide a prompt response to user requests for information and assists in application system problem resolutionMay assist with translation servicesAll other responsibilities assigned by Service Desk ManagementAdditional responsibilities may include:
As requested by management, helps with general office maintenance by working with vendors who provide services such as cleaning, basic repairs, moving furniture and other maintenance or facilities requirements; may also be asked to facilitate building deliveries, monitor inventory, and any other responsibilitiesYour Qualifications:
University degree, technical certifications, or combination of education and hands-on experience requiredFluent in business English and Japanese2 or more years of experience in IT and Infrastructure and Operations preferredA+ Certification preferredExpertise in Problem Management, Incident Management, Configuration Management, and the overall Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework preferredExperience in decision-making/troubleshootingExcellent customer service skills requiredAbility to work independently and prioritize workExemplary written and verbal communication skillsWhy Fisher Investments Japan:
