Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Service Desk Specialist in Charlton, Massachusetts. This role operates within the tech industry and requires a detail oriented individual who can effectively manage second level technical support issues for business partners. The core of the job is deskside support, problem management, and solution documentation.
Responsibilities:
• Handle escalated technical support issues from Service Desk Support Analysts or those submitted via Self Service.
• Provide effective deskside support to business partners.
• Manage and resolve incidents or service requests.
• Engage in problem management to ensure smooth operations.
• Create solution documentation for both Service Desk use and business partner use.
• Utilize technical skills such as Active Directory, Windows OS, and Apple OS.
• Use and manage ticketing systems effectively.
• Handle hardware issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Perform office functions and manage peripheral equipment.
• Ensure the security of systems through anti-virus and spyware management. Requirements • Proficient in Office Functions and Documentation
• Experience in providing Technical Support
• Familiarity with Active Directory
• Knowledge in Deskside Support
• Proficiency in Windows OS
• Experience in a Call Center environment
• Understanding of Desktop Hardware and Laptop Hardware
• Experience with Ticketing Systems
• Able to handle Peripheral Equipment
• Ability to work with Business Partners
• Familiarity with Service Desk operations
• Knowledge in Printer Hardware and Mobile Device management
• Experience with Anti-Virus software and protocols
• Proficient in Service Request Management
• Experience in Problem Management
• Familiarity with Apple OS
