JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, provides technical assistance to customers for warranty improvement and root cause identification through vehicle system testing, data acquisition, and analysis. Supports development and deployment of advanced big data analysis and visualization techniques to extract valuable insights and data-driven solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports development and deployment of advanced big data analysis and visualization techniques primarily based on automotive warranty data sets. Tracks and evaluates warranty issues and countermeasures to ensure sufficient action and timely resolution, including communicating status and countermeasure actions across DENSO. Analyzes returned components and/or parts to identify problem with assistance of DENSO Engineering, Plant, or other more experienced Service Engineer. Participates in vehicle testing related activities and operates necessary equipment to determine failure mode and identify root cause of problem. Consults with higher-level engineer and/or manager on project strategy. Prioritizes own job responsibilities, adheres to urgency of providing information and seeks advice when necessary. Identifies problem detection of customer technical issues through direct customer interaction and field visitation (Go & Study); to assure customer pain points are accurate and detailed for fast action. With guidance from senior/advanced engineers, develops service publications such as manuals/guides, installation instructions, component parts lists, service bulletins, training and testing specifications.Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field required. 0-3 years of relevant experience required. Related programming, data management and analysis experience required. Related service engineering experience preferred with focus of vehicle diagnostics preferred.SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Analytical skills to gather and interpret information in situations with limited scope or difficulty. Tasks follow standard techniques or protocols and require alertness to identify discrepancies or seek advice when precedents are unclear. Technical writing, verbal communication, and reporting skills to primarily gather or exchange information with internal and external customers on factual matters. Partners with limited number of customers/stakeholders relating to business outcomes. Skilled in O365 applications, programming (Python and/or node.js), and database systems to maintain, transform, analyze, and reconcile data. Vehicle component and system skills (diagnostics, data acquisition, data analysis). Demonstrated knowledge and application of general engineering principles and methodologies. Mechanical aptitude to disassemble parts to identify root cause of issues. Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills. Demonstrates a high commitment to quality & continuous improvement mindset.Salary:
