Are you driven by problem solving? Do you thrive working with complex and large equipment? Look no further, we are looking to hire a Service Engineer with Mechatronics or Automation competence.
The purpose of this role is to execute service, repair and maintenance work, such as diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair of mechatronic systems and components on the MacGregor product range, plus 3rd party makers if needed. MacGregor is at the forefront of innovation and is ready to deliver all-electric Walk-to-Work Gangways and advanced 3D compensated cranes for the offshore wind industry. In addition your focus will be on active heave-compensated (AHC) offshore cranes, with hydraulic or electric winch drives, for the offshore industry.

Our office and workshop are located in Bergen where you might be assigned to work if needed, therefore it is essential that you live in the Bergen area. This is a position that requires that you travel to client sites, vessels or at shipyards worldwide. Our clients are spread across the globe, i.e Europe, Brazil, the US, China, Australia, Singapore, and beyond. Therefore, extensive travel and a strong willingness to travel is essential.
This position is part of our Global Services Division, and reports directly to the Operation Superintendent, Americas and North Sea, located in Bergen
What you’ll need to succeed Technical education at Bachelors- or Technical College level within Mechatronics, automation or equivalent Relevant experience may compensate for lack of education Previous experience with Siemens drives Step7 and InTouch HMI is required It is a plus if you have previous experience with Siemens TIA Experience from offshore, ship or rig related equipment is beneficial Cooperativeness, technical skills and customer orientation Proficient in technical English and Norwegian, spoken and written What do we offer Flexible working hours and hybrid work- according to agreement Competitive salary, good pension scheme and health insurance MacGregor Norway AS is a member of the joint Arrangement for AFP Free car-park Charging for electric vehicles
