Undertake planning Schedule/Unscheduled Locomotive maintenance, Internal/External communication & Customer Reports preparation/submission. Provide necessary support to plan all work scopes related to Locomotive Routine, Intermediate & major Overhaul maintenance activities as per documented procedures. Also, preparation of Service BOMs well in advance for planning of Materials, Tools, PnE etc.Prepare draft for Daily/Monthly/Annual MIS reporting & keep close Monitoring of contractual KPIs.Coordinate with PRT /warehouse team for material delivery and team deployment at different locations.Preparation of incident sheet and help in monthly Failure reconciliation with IR.Will be responsible for Locomotives IB/OB inspections with Customer & on time in Shop Locomotive washing & daily Loco planning as per LEAN Flow.Will also be responsible to ensure safe Locomotive movement inside the shed, operation of ZEPHIR.Monitoring of activities falling in purview of shed control such as washing, shunting and IB/OB operations. Also undertake changes in process document as required for efficient working and process adherence. Record the data pertaining to the TAT various task.Monitoring of internal KPIs, training of shed control team and focus of EHS.Drive Kaizen initiative and improve 5S cultureUndertake effective Work Order Management. Monitor and ensure correct WO preparation and SS, timely WO closure.Establish Close coordination with various PRC for effective loco chasing.Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree / diploma in engineering with 7+ years applicable experience in maintenance of Locomotives, and/or transportation/rolling stock equipment.Willingness to work in 24x7 operations - different shifts, various days. Experience/exposure to IT tools for the purpose of analyzing the data. Ability lead teams in a shop environment. Good planning, communication & leadership skills with aptitude for managing teams & multiple functional stakeholders. Prior experience in shed control operations handling is added advantage.Desired Characteristics
Work experience of managing diesel locomotive / rolling stock maintenance shed schedules planning & customer communication skills.Ability to analyze locomotive maintenance records, reports including Loco running data to forecast future Loco maintenance events.Should be capable to adopt and effectively implement IT systems related to Locomotive running/maintenance data reportingAbility to promote safe & environmentally compliant work practices
