Examples of Duties + Guards and patrols buildings and grounds. + Guards equipment and property. + Observes, detects and intervenes to deter and disrupt illegal, unauthorized or dishonest activities and practices. + Maintains order in crowds and disperses unauthorized gatherings. + Intervenes to resolve disturbances involving tenants or visitors. + Coordinates activities during emergencies or accidents. + Apprehends and detains disorderly persons or wrongdoers and summons proper authorities as circumstances dictate. + Discourages littering; encourages proper use and treatment of facilities; and reports safety hazards and unsanitary conditions. + Places barriers, lanterns, flares or flags to alert persons to hazards. + Prepares written reports of activities and conditions observed .
