The Service Inventory and Demo Manager for Leica Biosystems is responsible for leading our service inventory and demo team at the North America Planning Center. This role is pivotal in ensuring flawless and timely support for service parts across the US and Canada, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. This position is part of the Commercial organization, and will be ONSITE five days a week located at our facility in Richmond, IL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Oversee the complete supply planning cycle, including demand forecasting, material availability and capacity planning as well as develop and execute comprehensive supply plans to meet business needs. + Establish and implement robust methods and best practices for inventory management, purchasing, and material control + Utilize DBS tools and facilitation skills to improve on-time delivery (OTD), inventory turns, cycle counting, and related KPIs, targeting a 99% service part OTD. + Manage inventory levels across the warehouse and field service operations and Lead initiatives to reduce excess, obsolete, and aged inventory, as well as scrap, to drive cost improvements. + Build and maintain strong relationships with key functional leaders and teams. + Proactively communicate potential stockouts or issues to executive management and relevant stakeholders. + Oversee spare parts warehouse operations, planning, logistics, and distribution to support North American service needs. The essential requirements of the job include: + Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent practical experience + 5+ years of supervisory/leadership experience managing direct reports + 5+ years in a supply planning or demand management role. + Demonstrated hand-on experience with SAP + Proven ability to present confidently to large groups, including senior leadership. + Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement and managing change. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Lean Six Sigma or equivalent Lean Problem-Solving certification/experience is highly desirable. + Previous experience with Sales Force Service is a plus. The annual salary range for this role is $110,000.00-$130,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
