See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality** **:** Position Overview: As part of the talented service team, the service manager oversees all aspects of the service department’s operations. He/she is responsible for ensuring that staff are properly trained and equipped with the knowledge, resources, and tools to efficiently complete all service-related tasks. Owing to the dynamic nature of the position, the service manager must possess a diverse skillset that lends itself strongly towards people management, time management, industry knowledge, critical thinking, and logistical practicality. As an effective service manager, you will ensure that the rapport of the business is on an upward trajectory by providing competitive products with excellent customer service and within realistic and reasonable deadlines. This person must be proficient in all areas of service including warranty, repair, service, service-writing, parts, and customer relations. They must be a dedicated leader that is capable of shaping and molding a group of individuals into a cohesive and animated team. **At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.** Essential Functions: + Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises all department personnel. + Monitors and assures efficient completion of all current and future service jobs. + Maintains a positive rapport with department staff. + Upholds positive customer relations and fields all customer-related issues, concerns, and inquiries. + Provides a safe working environment by abiding by local, state, and federal workplace regulations as well as internal policies that protect staff and customers. + Monitors and adjusts labor and physical resources to promote year-round profitability through expense ratio control. + Ensures the department has all parts, tools, and equipment necessary to function seamlessly. + Continually monitors key metrics (i.e., technician efficiency and productivity) and provides constructive feedback to achieve department goals. + Ensures adequate and effective interdepartmental communication and collaboration. + Communicates effectively with customers through a variety of mediums. + The service manager may also perform duties of additional staff when needed including Service Writer, Technician, Rigger, Warranty Specialist, Parts Specialist, and Lot Crew. **Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.** Required Qualifications: + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Excellent customer service and communication skills + Minimum of two years previous management experience in a similar industry + Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage human and physical resources + Ability to monitor and analyze key performance metrics + Ability to maintain positive relationships with staff and customer + Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products Preferred Qualifications: + Certifications for Mercury and/or Yamaha + Background in technical roles such as Service Writer, Technician, or similar positions + OSHA 30-Hour Certification Working Conditions: + The role often involves a mix of office work, inside shop work and outdoors workin varying weather conditions. + Frequent stationary positioning, traversing, and computer use; occasional ascension/descension, positions self, and lifting up to 50 pounds and may perform tasks that require physical exertion. + Constantly operates boats, tractor, vehicles, and other motorized equipment. + Judges distances accurately and operates equipment with precision. + Works safely near water and on docks traversing uneven terrain. + Adjusts to various physical positions as needed to perform repair tasks, such as accessing items at ground level, working in limited spaces, or operating at elevated heights. Travel: Occasional infrequent travel to other sites may be required The anticipated pay for this position is $56,000 annually, along with an annual discretionary bonus. Additionally, you will have opportunities to earn biweekly, quarterly, and annual bonuses based on performance metrics for the Parts and Service department. These bonuses offer a maximum annual earning potential of $23,550.
