Service Response Center Representative

Reporting to the Department Manager, this position is responsible for processing customer requests by obtaining clear, concise directions and patient information. Must develop, in a relatively short period of time, a flawless knowledge of the hospital facility and services. Must be prompt, courteous, and customer service oriented in all interactions with patients, visitors and co-workers. Collaborates with team members as well as other support service departments.
This position is responsible for the documentation, communication and dispatching of a wide variety of service requests from the customers of the Service Response Center to the staff of the departments that the SRC serves.
Experience:
+ High School Graduate or GED Required.
+ Healthcare experience desired. Prior experience, customer service, Front Desk or Help Desk experience desired.
+ Excellent listening skills and telephone skills.
+ Effective professional communication and interfacing with customers and co-workers.
+ Ability to read, write, speak and understands English fluently.
+ Requires working knowledge of learned routines, procedures and practices.
+ Duties and activities covered by specific instructions and established work practices, which may require some interpretation.
+ Collaborates with team in performing own duties and those of others in the team.
+ Supports an environment of idea sharing and feedback. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
