Service Response Center Representative
Reporting to the Department Manager, this position is responsible for processing customer requests by obtaining clear, concise directions and patient information. Must develop, in a relatively short period of time, a flawless knowledge of the hospital facility and services. Must be prompt, courteous, and customer service oriented in all interactions with patients, visitors and co-workers. Collaborates with team members as well as other support service departments. This position is responsible for the documentation, communication and dispatching of a wide variety of service requests from the customers of the Service Response Center to the staff of the departments that the SRC serves. High School Graduate or GED Required. Experience (Type & Length): Healthcare experience desired. Prior experience, customer service, Front Desk or Help Desk experience desired. Excellent listening skills and telephone skills. Effective professional communication and interfacing with customers and co-workers. Ability to read, write, speak and understands English fluently. Requires working knowledge of learned routines, procedures and practices. Duties and activities covered by specific instructions and established work practices, which may require some interpretation. Collaborates with team in performing own duties and those of others in the team. Supports an environment of idea sharing and feedback. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
