Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate in conjunction with the Sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology. Each day, you will determine costs, prepare final documentation, and serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by performing lost proposal analysis, identifying potential cause, and recommending future actions.The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-HybridThis role is contributing to the Process Automation Marine & Ports division in Miramar, FL. You will be mainly accountable for:•Supporting the local Sales organization and customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers.•Preparing / supporting in the preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, local business/feeder factory indications, and Sales organization directives.•Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers through information from general market and the Sales organization.•Defining cost for the proposed solution and communicates it to the Sales organizationOur team dynamicsYou will join a dynamic, talented, high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications for the roleHigh School Diploma or GED and 6 years' marine industry, electrical engineering or diesel engine experience OR Associates' degree and 4 years' marine industry, electrical engineering or diesel engine experience OR Bachelors' degree and 2 years' marine industry, electrical engineering or diesel engine experience.Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, and knows how to build commitment within diverse and fragmented environmentsBS degree, preferably in Marine, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, and/or 2 years of experience in the marine industry preferred.Sales and sales support experience preferred.Strategic and sales planning experience preferred.Technical know-how in the Power, Marine service industry.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
