Temple University's Department of University Housing and Residential Life is searching to fill a Service Staff IV role.

Hourly Rate\: $23.12

Work Days/Hours\: Mon - Fri; 1pm - 930pm

Job Summary
The Service Staff IV position is primarily responsible for general housekeeping duties within a given residence hall area and is responsible for general cleaning duties in residence hall public spaces such as classrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, offices, corridors, stairways, and other areas to provide a safe and attractive living environment for Temple students living on-campus.

During the summer turnaround of facilities and summer conferences accommodation programs, the Service Staff IV is responsible for the cleaning of residence hall bedrooms, bathrooms and lounges inside the apartments and suites. Housekeeping staff is assigned to floor maintenance, stripping, refinishing, waxing, and buffing operations using a power machine and other related equipment. The Service Staff IV is to thoroughly disinfect and sanitize high touch objects and surfaces frequently, and maintain the cleanliness of washroom fixtures and surfaces, cleaning study corrals, glassware, classrooms, labs, lecture halls, lounges, recreational areas, fitness centers, pool areas, game rooms, T.V. lounges, and other University areas. The Service Staff IV is required to clean floors, using wet and dry mops and floor machines when needed, in addition to cleaning walls, stairways, furniture, and equipment.

Housekeeping employees provide on-call service to the University as required. Performs other related duties as assigned.

This position requires Child Abuse Certifications prior to the commencement of service.

Required Education and Experience
* At least one (1) year housekeeping experience in a college housing, hotel, multi-family setting or commercial environment.  * *An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities
*Must have adequate reading and writing skills.
*Demonstrated ability to perform general housekeeping duties such as cleaning, mopping and emptying trash cans.
*Must be able to stand for long durations of time. 
*Must be able to walk and bend frequently. 
*Must be willing to work in very damp location.
*On call service to the University as needed for critical and emergency event.

This position requires a background check.

This position requires Child Abuse Certifications prior to the commencement of service.
