Service Supervisor
This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of the department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job- related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and necessary. Reporting to the Service Manager, this position leads to the dispatching of Systems Specialists to customers’ project sites to serve customers in NJ/NY. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: AN individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. + Manage simultaneous open projects up to $100k in scope sold directly to end user representatives or contractors. + Works closely with the office service coordinator and service finance on service administrative project functions. These include purchase orders, change orders, subcontracts, material invoice approvals, and communicating with the support team to ensure timely invoices for projects. + Development of Field Service technicians with a focus on preventative maintenance, work order summaries and managing communication. + Provide ongoing coordination with the sales team and the owner/contractor to ensure sales scope of work and expectations are met. + Coordinate the timely ordering and delivery of material to align with the installation requirements and financial responsibilities. + Coordinate and review engineering submittals with onsite equipment and conditions to ensure accurate control applications and wiring requirements. Coordinate with sales and engineering team for any required changes. + Provide system checkout, commissioning and quality assessment of installed and programmed BAS systems. + Direct the efforts of Programmers and Technicians to achieve a fully functional and commissioned system within the project schedule and estimated hours. + Conducts, schedules and participate in project meetings. Provides project updates as well. + Responsible for project coordination and cooperation with our customers (end users, owner reps, general contractors, and mechanical contractors) as required to provide overall customer satisfaction and project success. + Consult with the customer through data gathered and site assessments. Assist sales by providing technical recommendations for sales leads and proposals for retrofits, upgrades and enhancements to existing equipment. + Coordinate and work with 3rd party commissioning agents and subcontractors, as needed. + Oversee service fleet inventory and daily operations of the Network Operations Center (NOC). + Manage procurement processes, including quotes, parts ordering, and material sourcing. + Supervise and mentor a team, facilitating training on systems like D-365 and AX. + Coordinate interdepartmental efforts and address action items from service visits. + Review and approve time sheets, assist with forecasting, budgeting, and account management. + Occasionally support field training and office facilities maintenance. + Ensure regulatory compliance across a range of federal, state, and local agencies. + Ensure that all quality and safety standards, specifications and policies are met, drive continuous improvements, and collaborate with the team to drive efficiency. + Support a culture based on open/honest dialogue and involvement with all team members that demonstrates the value of their input and engagement in improving performance. + Support a culture of high performance and accountability in employee and site safety as well as other aspects of the business. Requirements + Equivalent experience, vocational school, or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field is preferred. Degrees may be offset by two years of experience in servicing electronic and or mechanical systems. + Five to seven years of increasingly responsible experience in servicing electronic control and HVAC equipment. Ability to coordinate the work of others on multiple job sites. + Effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner. + Must have experience in writing as well as a demonstrated understanding of computer programs and software applications related to the HVAC Industry. And verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation + Prior experience leading, coaching, and mentoring others. + Prior experience supporting construction and field employee groups, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative. + Commitment to our “open door” policy and regular contact with all field employees. + Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment requires strong multi-tasking abilities. + Key leadership competencies in addition to high ethical standards, strong values, integrity, drive to deliver results, pride in personal and team performance, decision quality, building effective teams Salary $90k-$110K DOE.
