Job Description
50% travel field service role across the US and occasionally Canada.
Assembling metal parts using various welding processes.
Performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
ResponsibilitiesAssemble metal parts or elements using welding processes such as TIG, arc, MIG, and semi-automatic welding.Read and interpret plans or templates.Check the welding and ensure conformity of the part with the manufacturing plan.Primarily perform service calls and commissioning at client facilities.Conduct training on product lines in both classroom and practical/production environments.Handle customer service and technical support calls.Create and submit timely reports on work performed.Identify client needs for spare parts and facilitate internally.Perform mechanical work such as replacing bearings and changing motors.Troubleshoot electrical, electromechanical, pneumatics, PLC, and programming issues.Perform welding and polishing tasks as required.Essential SkillsProficiency in TIG welding.Ability to read and interpret plans and templates.Experience with arc, MIG, and semi-automatic welding processes.Mechanical skills for tasks such as replacing bearings and changing motors.Electrical and electromechanical troubleshooting skills.Knowledge of PLC and programming issues.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in field service and travel roles.Customer service and technical support experience.Ability to create and submit detailed reports.
Work Environment
This role involves standard day shift hours with occasional on-call requirements. You will visit various client sites to perform welding and equipment repairs.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $42.00
