The Product Manager specializing in Data Communications (Datacom) will spearhead the management and development of our datacom connector solutions. This role plays a pivotal part in aligning product strategies with market demands, ensuring seamless integration within Information and Communication Technology (ICT) equipment and beyond.

 

Responsible for ensuring production material readiness to meet customer demand, as well as the grinding of runners and scrap, monitoring the material handling system (MOTAN), and act as a relief for machine operators. This is a non-exempt position that receives general work direction from the Shift Leader.

Responsibilities Manage Raw Materials and Consumables Kan Ban system.Generate material mixes as required by production plan to support customer demand.Removal of runners and scrap product from molding floor to be ground and reused where appropriates.Monitor material handling system (MOTAN) to ensure system is working properly, supply material to feeder, and clean and maintain as directed by the supervisor.Ensure machines are supplied with springs, bags, boxes and any other packing materials needed every shift.Complete line clears on mold machines to enable quick startup of next process.Ensure quality standards are met for raw materials to prevent contamination, loss.Assist with basic molding machine troubleshooting as directed by the shift supervisor.Maintain a clean work environment around the MOTAN System and the molding/staking areas.Empty all trash and cardboard every shift.Receive incoming materials into the ERP system.Offer suggestions that may improve efficiency.Act as relief to the machine operators for breaks.Work closely with PurchasingParticipate as a member of a Project Team and/or Cross Functional Team as required.Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. One year related experience in plastic injection molding.Ability to read and understand basic written directions/specifications, need initiative and hands-on experience to resolve problems, and able to work as member of a team.Ability to calculate material needed and inspect for defective product.Must know basic math (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication) and how to read material mixing instructions.Must have the knowledge to understand the OSHA and other federal and state regulations.Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and move up to 300 lbs. with hand truck or forklift on a frequent basis.Certified forklift operator, and ability to use two-wheel carts, floor jack, ladders, and operate grinders, tumblers, MOTAN System, scales, and computer required.Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time.This position requires repetitive reaching, stretching, lifting and twisting.Some computer skills required.
