**Job Title: Service Technician** **Job Description** As a Service Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on rental equipment. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing repairs, creating repair estimates, and completing the necessary repairs. You will primarily work on small engines and equipment such as generators, air compressors, concrete trowels, pumps, saws, and buggies. While most of your work will be performed in the shop, you may occasionally need to go out into the field for equipment repairs. **Responsibilities** + Clean and maintain rental equipment, including water pumps, generators (diesel and gasoline), concrete finishing trowels, concrete saws, power buggies, wood chippers, trenchers, light towers, mini loaders, air compressors (diesel and gasoline), heaters, ground thaw equipment, air conditioners, and compaction equipment. + Investigate and diagnose equipment faults and failures, and recommend repair solutions. + Perform light repairs on rental equipment and customer-owned equipment. + Maintain a clean and orderly shop environment. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical control systems + Ignition and fuel systems + Small engine repairs + Diesel engine starting and running issues + Midsized construction equipment repairs + AC generators + Air compressors + Pumps (trash and water) + Heating systems + Saws (gas, hydraulic, and electrical) **Work Environment** You will work both outdoors on construction sites in various weather conditions and in a shop environment. The work culture is that of a small company with the support of multiple locations throughout Wisconsin. You will be one of three rental technicians in McFarland, working both independently and collaboratively. The company provides uniforms, and you will work Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm or 7am to 4pm, with occasional after-hours service calls. While you do not need to provide your own tools, having your own shows an investment in the trade. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Mcfarland, Wisconsin. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $56160.00 Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Paid training Parental leave Referral program Vision insurance Uniform service provided at no charge and are expected to be worn clean daily. Safety shoe reimbursement program is we will pay for half of your safety shoes for work twice a year.
