**Job Title: Service Technician**
**Job Description**
The primary purpose of this position is to service, fix, upgrade, and perform preventative maintenance on coin and currency equipment, ATMs, software, and specialized office products located at client sites in Chicagoland and surrounding areas. The individual will work in coordination with sales and service at their branch.
**Responsibilities**
+ Service, upgrade, and perform preventative maintenance on company equipment including desktop products and smart safes.
+ Travel by vehicle daily to client sites.
+ Work with branch employees to satisfy client needs.
+ Address customer service requests within the specified contract response time.
+ Provide extended hours coverage and be on-call where applicable.
+ Maintain a balanced vehicle stock parts inventory.
+ Keep company issued vehicle clean and schedule service intervals.
+ Safeguard company assets including tablet computer and mobile phone.
+ Perform all other duties as assigned.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 1 to 3+ years of experience in a technical service/repair position or equivalent schooling with a technical background.
+ Knowledge of using basic hand tools.
+ Ability to use multimeters for voltage testing.
+ Additional years of experience in service/repair.
+ College degree in a technical field or vocational schooling.

**Work Environment**
This position involves 90% travel on the road from client to client with about 10% overnight travel when needed. Travel will begin after the 3rd or 4th month of starting, depending on training progression. Service Technicians will have the opportunity to work remotely and travel to the corporate office for training. The majority of work will be onsite at client facilities. The job requires lifting, pushing, or carrying a minimum of 50 pounds, and involves kneeling, bending, twisting, lifting, and squatting to service equipment. Phone or desk work will comprise about 10% of the time for computer work, bench repair work, parts stocking, tracking service calls, and setting up appointments. Standing for long periods up to 75% of the time while servicing some equipment is also required.
