Job Title: Service Technician
Job Description

Perform electrical and mechanical inspection, start-up, and controls programming on state-of-the-art, specialized, complex HVAC equipment. We seek candidates who are curious, dedicated, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for customers, colleagues, and oneself in every situation.

ResponsibilitiesPerform HVAC duties for startup, warranty, and service support.Conduct electrical and mechanical inspections as well as warranty repairs on HVAC equipment to ensure peak performance.Program unit controllers and VFDs to match the design intent and sequence of operations.Use computer interfaces for controls setup and possess a good understanding of controls.Interpret engineering drawings to understand the layout, location, and operation of systems.Document all work performed and inspections, create and track action items, and communicate findings and next steps to relevant team members.Work effectively in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.Submit required paperwork in a timely manner.Work safely on a daily basis and ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times.Represent the company positively to other trades, contractors, and owners.Perform other duties as assigned.Flexibility to work overtime or weekends, as required.Maintain technical skills for complex HVAC system applications.Keep the service truck organized and clean inside and out.Perform site surveys to propose work and quality assurance checks.Prepare service work estimates and methods of procedures.Coordinate labor, material, equipment, subcontractors, etc. to execute work.Adapt to other duties as they evolve with the business and development of your role.Essential SkillsEffective communication with internal teams, customers, and industry contacts.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Reliability, punctuality, and teachability.Proficiency in complex HVAC systems, mechanical systems, and controls.Troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems, including high/low voltage power circuits, control sequence setup, airflow, refrigeration circuit arrangements, and various heating and hydronic systems.Computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.EPA certification and 5 years of HVAC and/or controls related industry experience.HVAC technical education completion or equivalent.Mechanical skills to work on a variety of complex HVAC systems including fans, compressors, motor bearings, refrigeration circuits, burner setup, heat wheels, etc.Current OSHA 10 Training.Comfortable working around 5-ton to 200-ton package rooftop units under the supervision of a Lead Tech.Clean driving record with a current valid license.Work Environment

The team comprises 50 employees, serving a diverse range of clients including mechanical contractors, general contractors, developers, owners, and consulting companies. The position requires flexibility for overtime and weekend work as needed. Technicians are provided with a service van and tools. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
