**Job Title: Service Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Service Technician who will be responsible for equipment maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting hydraulic and electromechanical systems, performing preventative maintenance, and overseeing new equipment installations. The role involves both on-site service calls and administrative tasks.
**Responsibilities**
+ Receive and respond to requests for equipment maintenance and repair.
+ Arrive at the service office daily to prepare for assignments unless directed otherwise.
+ Turn in previous day's paperwork, including service tickets, timesheets, and parts request forms.
+ Engage with the Service Manager, Service Coordinator, or Lead Technician to review service call-outs and scheduled preventative maintenance (PMs).
+ Advise leadership of any gaps in capabilities due to required parts or equipment.
+ Ensure assignments include a point-of-contact (POC) for the facility.
+ Load the service vehicle with required parts and resources.
+ Proceed to customer sites and ensure legal parking.
+ Make initial contact with the provided POC and confirm the nature of the service call.
+ Assess equipment behavior for repair needs and perform preventative maintenance procedures.
+ Fill out PM checklists and ensure equipment is returned to proper working order.
+ Complete service tickets and review activities with the POC.
+ Provide oversight and commissioning at new equipment installations.
+ Ensure third-party partners adhere to installation specifications and report any deviations.
**Essential Skills**
+ Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and electromechanical equipment, including electric and electronic controls.
+ Understanding of electrical principles such as Ohm’s Law and motor functions.
+ Knowledge of hydraulic principles including force multiplication, pressure, volume, and cavitation.
+ Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers and variable frequency drives.
+ Ability to troubleshoot vehicle detection loops and loop detectors.
+ Strong verbal communication skills for interfacing with customers.
+ Good written communication skills for completing necessary paperwork.
+ Ability to utilize basic computer and tablet software for equipment interfacing and paperwork.
+ High School Diploma.
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of field service experience in electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical machine repair.

**Work Environment**
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with a 7:00 AM start at the office. The majority of work is based in NYC. The role guarantees 40 hours per week.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
