“A Day In the Life” 

As a Service Technician you will maintain modular equipment in the field at customer sites.  You will perform problem solving maintenance for but not limited to mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.  You will also performs routine maintenance and construction in the field of modular buildings.  Update and record information on company assets and systems.  Perform routine evaluations of work to be performed. Safely operate Company provided vehicle (<10,000lbs GVW) to travel to various locations and service modular and related equipment. Duties include installing and repairing equipment, and training customer employees on how to maintain machinery. Perform trial run of machinery to ensure performance rates and quality meet established specifications while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Perform troubleshooting, maintenance service, repairs and construction in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical in the fieldPerform maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systemsInstall new HVAC units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelinesResponsible for the safety, quality and productivity of themselves at all customer locationsResponsible for positive interface with the customer and ensuring the company’s reputation is improved with every customer contactMaintain inspection log(s) for equipment/vehicle and properly report exceptions; ensure equipment is maintained to Company and safety standardsOther duties as assignedAbility to safely perform all tasks and understand Company’s safety policies and proceduresDeliver a high quality output consistent with the Company’s construction standardsOperate Company vehicleAble to read and understand blueprints, schematics, procedures and Company specific work orders, work instructions and floor plans provided; Able to work outside in variable weather conditionsAbility to use both manual and power tools and follow operating guidelines

 

“Must Haves”

Prior experience in construction or related work required.HVAC training and experience combined with an EPA certification preferred.Ability to communicate with Customer’s regarding work status and service concerns; bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.Valid driver’s license.

 

Special Considerations:

Local travel daily and occasional overnight staysMay be required to drive extended distances to customer sitesPosition requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain physical activity for most of the dayMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds and hold or lift a variety of objectsAble to carry, bend, stoop, turn, kneel, crawl, climb a ladder and other manual labor activities
