Job Title: Service Technician

Job Description

This is a 90% travel position for a Service/Installation Technician, responsible for traveling within the US, Mexico, and Canada to work on existing equipment or install new equipment. The role requires a candidate based in Michigan who can travel to the Canadian facility for training and familiarization with the equipment, people, and company.

ResponsibilitiesTravel to customer job sites to service or install equipment.Perform robotic programming and troubleshoot PLC systems.Edit and program ABB Robots.Make end-of-arm tooling changes and mechanical repairs.Work on automation, robotics, electrical, and mechanical systems.Conduct troubleshooting, installation, and quality control tasks.Utilize power tools and read blueprints.Handle PLC troubleshooting and programming.Essential SkillsRobotic programming and troubleshooting, especially ABB robots.Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.Mechanical repairs and aptitude.Knowledge of automation, robotics, electrical, and mechanical systems.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Additional Skills & QualificationsPassport and eligibility to cross the Canadian border.Clean driving record.Willingness to travel 90% of the time.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The role involves working within two divisions: designing and building custom automation for the food and beverage and automotive industries. Most customers are in the US and Mexico, with a few in Canada. The company has recently expanded into preventative maintenance and service packages for their own and other companies' equipment. The position includes traveling for installs and service work, with accommodations for long-distance travel arranged by a travel agent.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $81120.00 - $97760.00/yr.
