Job Title: Commercial Service Technician Helper
Location: Montreal Area
This role is pivotal as the primary support for commercial/industrial customers, responsible for service and installation across a range of commercial/industrial doors, door opening systems, and dock leveling systems.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the service and install various products, including sectional doors, rolling doors, drop testing fire doors, vehicle restraints, impact doors, and loading dock equipment. Assist with repair and troubleshoot defective equipment. Maintain proper truck stock, inventory, and company vehicle. Accurate timekeeping; detailing job numbers, travel time, labeling equipment, and completing job assignments timely. Interact with customers, end-users, and general contractors courteously and professionally. Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address diverse door and site requirements. Perform routine preventative maintenance. Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Promote the company’s operational visions, values, and goals. Participate in training or other team activities to support ongoing continuous improvement. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or his/her designate. Flexibility with working hours and occasional travel may be required.
Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of overhead doors, with the ability to analyze, diagnose problems, and possess mechanical knowledge for necessary repairs. Minimum of 1 years of experience in overhead door and loading dock operations is preferred Welding and/or electrical experience is a plus. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to handle a physical workload. Proficient with power tools. Independent work capability. Service-oriented individual with effective written/verbal communication skills. Comfortable working at heights. Adaptability to a changing work environment. Effective interpersonal skills. High school diploma or equivalent. Must pass background check Basic math skills. Neat and clean appearance. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required. Adherence to safety standards.

Must be able to work in any weather conditions (indoors/outdoors).
