Job Summary
As a Service Training Manager, you will lead the team responsible for the creation and delivery of effective training programs and curriculums.

This is a hybrid position located in Peoria, IL.
Our team embraces flexibility through a hybrid work model. In addition to working onsite at our facility in Peoria, IL, our hybrid work model allows employees the flexibility to work from home based on business need.
This position requires up to 25% of working time travel, both domestic and international.
What You Will Do:
Leadership:
Manage and lead a team of machine instructors
Develop long-term training strategies including ongoing needs assessment, communication and feedback processes, promoting the value of training
Lead the training development and delivery team; collaborating with the training instructional design team; managing external training vendors/contractors and platforms
Conduct Cat Machine Training:
Deliver hands-on and theoretical training on various Cat machines to dealers and customers
Ensure participants understand the operating principles, maintenance and repair requirements, and best practices for each machine
Conduct System & component -Based Training:
Provide in-depth training on Cat machine systems, including electrical, engine, hydraulic, powertrain, brake, and components
Guide participants in system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and optimization
Conduct Technology Training:
Offer training on Cat technology platforms, such as telematics, fleet management, and other digital solutions
Help customers and employees understand the value and application of these technologies in improving efficiency and productivity
Learning Solutions Development:
Lead the development of customized training solutions in partnership with the machine product groups
Ensure that learning materials are up to date with the latest machine models, technologies, and system enhancements
Develop both instructor led and e-learning content, tailored to meet various learner needs
What You Have (Required Skills):
Proven experience and technical knowledge in Cat machine equipment service, repair, and technology
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner
Experience in developing and delivering training programs, both in-person and online
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly with product groups and technical experts
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Service experience with earth moving equipment
Technical experience in Components, Systems or Products
Fluent oral and written communications skills in English
Knowledge of condition monitoring tools and practices
What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Skills):
2 or 4-year technical degree
Experience with hydraulics systems
Experience working with / troubleshooting machine electronics and systems
Mining and / or Construction Industry product application experience
Caterpillar Instructor Accreditation Program (CIAP) completion (required within first 6 months in role)
Ability to speak/write Spanish; or other language capabilities
Proven ability to adjust and effectively train multi-cultural audiences
At ease working independently as well in teams
Positive attitude of responsibility, safety and keeping standards high
Passionate about people development
Working knowledge of Caterpillar Systems such as SIS
Experience with Cat technology solutions, such as 2D / 3D Grade Control, VisionLink or similar platforms
Familiar using Abobe Indesign, Illustrator and 3D Mockup and SAP 3D software
