Service Training Manager

Role Summary Rivian Service Technical Training is seeking a passionate and driven Service Training Manager to lead our team of Technical Training Instructors. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our Service Technicians are equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will be a champion for continuous learning, a skilled communicator, and a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Working with the Sr. Manager of Technical Training, you’ll execute on identified strategic priorities and work to stay ahead of the training needs in the field. Responsibilities Manage a team of Technical Training Instructors to ensure the delivery of high-quality training for technical roles in the Service organization Partner closely with instructors to ensure continuous personal and professional growth Develop team goals and deliverables each quarter and drive team to deliver on those objectives Work with L&D as well as cross-functional teams to define training needs; ensure ongoing alignment with leadership and operationalize training Lead presentations as needed to provide updates to various audiences Coach training team on best practices for adult learning and facilitation Observe, mentor and coach instructors conducting training and assess according to pre-defined KPIs. Stay current with the latest Rivian technical product information. Qualifications 5+ years of related work experience. 2+ years of people managing experience. Degree or Certificate from a University program in Automotive Technology or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability. Familiarity with adult learning principles and training evaluation methods An ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to work autonomously and manage your workload effectively Experience in anticipating potential problems or areas of improvement and implementing solutions independently High proficiency with technology; ability to learn new applications quickly Ability to travel, possibly more than 50% as needed Clean Driver’s License Previous automotive experience working in the service training field with management a plus Experience as an automotive technical trainer a plus Current passport for international travel a plus Equal Opportunity Rivian is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
