ServiceNow Administrator
Job Description An employer is seeking a ServiceNow Administrator to work in Charlotte, NC. This position will be a hybrid role, spending two days in-office and three days remotely during the week. The position has a number of responsibilities; this person provides support and configuration for packaged and custom applications, ensures best practices and standards are being followed, makes suggestions for improving the development process, and performs day-to-day administration of the ServiceNow platform. Overall, this includes configuration, designing, coding, testing, correcting, and documenting complex programs and scripts from agreed specifications, and subsequent iterations, using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result. The Administrator is also responsible for acting as a ServiceNow subject matter expert amongst an application development team to ensure delivery of applications based on detailed specifications. - Provide technical insight in designing and supporting ServiceNow while aligning to Service Management standard methodologies -Design, code, test, deploy, maintain, enhance, and support software systems - Work with business customers and IT business analysts in translating requirements into plans and specifications - Work in a team-based environment, communicating effectively with all levels of staff and management - Identify business and system requirements - Produce design and other technical documentation - Design and code reviews for components produced by self and other teams - Provide work estimates to project team and lead - Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members - Out-of-the-box and custom development, configuration, and testing, including developing customizations in ServiceNow to meet project objectives and business needs - Working closely with IT and business partners to configure and improve core platform capabilities in accordance with ITIL best practices - Learn about the existing process design and implementation of Service Catalog, Incident, Problem Change and Release Management workflows - Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications - Coordinate application and platform upgrades We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements - 3+ years of experience on ServiceNow tool (heavy platform administration and configuration experience) - Demonstrated ability with ServiceNow incident, change, problem, request, CMDB and knowledge management applications - Experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML and service integration using REST API - Experience with source code control and software configuration management tools - Experience developing in a team environment and deployment of changes on multi ServiceNow environments using update sets or source control - Experience with agile development practices - Working knowledge of User Interface (UI) policies, data policies, UI actions, business rules and client scripts - Experience with MID servers, web services, email and other relevant technology to integrate tools with the ServiceNow platform - Experience in ServiceNow Platform Security - users, groups and roles - Knowledge of ServiceNow Update Sets and source control - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science - Strong Preference: ServiceNow System Admin Certification - ITIL Foundation knowledge - ServiceNow implementation experience - Working knowledge on other ITSM platforms (i.e. Cherwell) - Knowledge of application deployment through CI/CD process - Experience on integration with Power Platform null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
