Polaris is seeking a ServiceNow Administrator to join our ServiceNow team to build new and valuable functionality while driving the utilization of ServiceNow. This role will work closely with our ServiceNow team to build new functionality, participate in the day-to-day operations of the company’s ServiceNow environment, provide integrated team support, and maintain the ServiceNow platform in a corporate environment. The ideal candidate can quickly become acquainted with our ServiceNow environment and dive into our enhancement backlog while adhering to our standards and best practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Work directly with end-users to resolve support issues and fulfill requests and enhancements within ServiceNow.
Support, administration, and maintenance include but are limited to the following responsibilities: User/Group/Role Management, List/Form Updates, Catalog Items/Service Portal, Workflows, Creating Tables and Fields, and Orchestration, Integrations, and Custom Apps
Author and maintain internal technical and process documentation related to the platform.
Support, coordinate, and facilitate application and platform upgrades/patches, including cloning
Build and deploy system integrations and process automation within the ServiceNow instance and other Information Services applications.
Design, develop and implement new configurations and customizations for ServiceNow.
Partner with the technology and business stakeholders to define, analyze, and document requirements for new ServiceNow processes or improvements to current processes; with little to no guidance/supervision, work independently.
Monitor health, usage, and overall governance of ServiceNow and its applications.
Provide support to end-users by creating documentation, guided tours/Help screens (where needed), training users on new functionality, and presenting updates to end-users.
Advise and guide on how to get the most out of the product and learn about the latest product features.
Provide on-call support as required.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :
Required
3+ years of overall ServiceNow administration experience, including development, design, and implementation
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering; or associate degree and equivalent work experience
Prior ServiceNow technical knowledge and high-level platform architecture understanding.
A strong understanding of ServiceNow functionality and how ITIL processes can be implemented in ServiceNow.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience interacting with clients at multiple levels as well as the ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously and promptly.
Experience working across functional areas and driving continuous improvement.
Strong self-motivation, attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability
Must have a good understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes.
Experience designing and supporting ServiceNow ITSM (Incident, Change, Service Catalog, Knowledge, Problem, Service Portal)
Some experience with Active Directory, LDAP, MID, and SSO in an administrative capacity
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification
Preferred
ITIL Foundations Certification
Experience building custom applications within ServiceNow
Knowledge of Asset Management functionality within ServiceNow
Working knowledge of design, coding, testing methodologies, and debugging
Has attended ServiceNow Advanced System Administration courses.
Understands Agile development and delivery.
