The ServiceNow Architect is responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive ServiceNow solutions that meet complex business requirements while ensuring alignment across various technologies. This role involves advanced configuration, scripting, integration, and performance optimization within the ServiceNow platform. The architect will lead IT Service Management (ITSM) system enhancements, oversee ServiceNow upgrades to enhance service delivery. _Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active (or able to acquire) Public Trust clearance._ Rate: $90 - $100 / hr. w2 **Responsibilities:** + Architect Solutions: Develop and design comprehensive solutions to meet complex business requirements, ensuring alignment across various technologies, including network, compute, storage, platform, cloud, database, software, systems, security, and email. + Advanced Configuration: Expertise in ServiceNow configuration, including form design, workflow administration, reporting, data import, custom scripting, and notifications. + Scripting and Programming: Proficient in JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, and other relevant scripting languages. + Integration Experience: Experienced in integrating ServiceNow with other enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and other integration technologies. + Performance Optimization: Skilled in optimizing performance and troubleshooting issues within the ServiceNow platform. + Module Enhancements: Design and/or implement end-to-end ITSM, CSM, HRSD and SPM system enhancements to improve overall service delivery. + ITIL Proficiency: Possess intermediate-level knowledge in ITIL practice areas to support strategic discussions and direction for evolving the service catalog, enhancing self-service capabilities, and managing CMDB, asset, incident, problem, change, service level, knowledge, and request management. This includes workflow design, implementation, and adherence to best practices. + User Experience (UX) Design: Understanding of UX principles to enhance user satisfaction and efficiency. + Data Management: Proficient in managing data within ServiceNow, including data migration, data transformation, and data integrity. + DevSecOps Principles: Adhere to DevSecOps principles to ensure security across the platform and associated systems. + ServiceNow Upgrades: Lead or participate in platform upgrades. + Incident & Request Resolution: Handle escalated SMS service requests and incidents, providing timely response and resolution. + Platform Support & Best Practices: Assist platform administrators and developers with incident resolution, offering best practice guidance in line with DOT standards. + Platform Documentation: Document platform designs and maintain architecture views. + Communication & Relationship Building: Serve as an effective communicator and relationship builder with system stakeholders and organizational leadership. + Process Improvement: Evaluate current organizational processes and develop strategies to enhance IT Service Management practices based on feedback. + Engagement & Collaboration: Collaborate with teams to enhance business and technology processes through standard industry best practices. + Project Management: Manage or participate in multiple large projects simultaneously, assist with future planning, and stay updated on standard architecture frameworks relevant to the Federal Government. Strong project management skills to manage timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively. + Agile Methodologies: Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in agile environments. + Change Management: Conduct change assessments, participate in change control boards, and provide necessary documentation and procedures for change management. + Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. + Mentorship: Mentor team members, sharing knowledge and providing coaching while also learning from others. + On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation, providing support during non-business hours (nights, weekends, holidays). **Experience Requirements:** + 15+ total years of relevant IT experience in a technical field with 3+ years of experience as an Architect for a major Service Management System (preferably ServiceNow). + The ideal candidate must possess extensive experience in architecting comprehensive solutions across various technologies and advanced ServiceNow configuration. They should be adept in optimizing platform performance, enhancing ITSM, CSM, HRSD, and SPM modules, and managing data integrity. Strong ITIL knowledge, DevSecOps principles adherence, and experience with ServiceNow upgrades are essential. Effective communication, collaboration, project management skills, and the ability to mentor team members are required. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and on-call support participation is also necessary. + ITIL Foundation Certification + Validated completion of courses towards ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA) Certification (multiple CIS, CAD, CTA, etc.) + Current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) Certification + 5+ years of direct experience in ServiceNow is preferred. + One or more of the following current ServiceNow Certifications is desirable: + Certified Master Architect (CMA) + Certified Technical Architect (CTA) + CIS - IT Service Management (CIS-ITSM) + CIS - Customer Service Management (CIS-CSM) + CIS - Customer Service Management (CIS-CSM) + CIS - Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM) + CIS - Hardware Asset Management (CIS-HAM) _Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate.
