Pay Range

$132,810.00  - $170,556.00  Annually for the SES.2 level
$159,330.00  - $204,636.00  Annually for the SES.3 level

Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. Many factors are taken into consideration when setting starting pay including education, experience, the external labor market, and internal equity.

Job Description

We have an opening for a ServiceNow Developer to configure, customize, and develop applications in the ServiceNow platform, working with a team comprised of developers and a technical lead.  This position is in the Information Solutions Division (ITSD) within the Computing Directorate, in support of the LivIT Program.

This position will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.

You will 

Support multiple instances of the ServiceNow Platform, perform maintenance and updates as required.Design and develop moderately complex scripts, workflows and integrations to create, configure or customize applications in ServiceNow.Analyze and provide solutions to technical problems escalated from the Service Desk, Process Owners and/or Project efforts.Participate in the Agile development process utilizing the SCRUM module in ServiceNow.Participate in broad independent interactions with all levels of personnel within the Laboratory.Develop integrations between ServiceNow applications and external business applications.Participate and contribute advanced design and code reviews.Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional job responsibilities, at the SES.3 level

Design and develop complex solutions including applications, workflows and integrations to create, configure or customize applications in ServiceNow.Lead advanced design and code reviews.Develop innovative solutions by collaboration to solve complex problems in the ServiceNow environment. Qualifications Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.Bachelor’s degree in a Computer or Engineering related field, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.Broad experience with IT Service Management processes and implementation.Broad experience configuring IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow, including developing in JavaScript and implementing integrations utilizing Web Services and Orchestration.Broad experience implementing IT Service Management applications comparable to applications in the ServiceNow platform.Experience implementing, maintaining, and/or supporting integrated computing environments in an enterprise environment.Comprehensive analytical and problem-solving skills to contribute creative solutions to complex problems in cross-organizational efforts.Ability to work independently with a high degree of maturity, discretion, and judgement.Proficient verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment and explain, present and document technical solutions, and influence customers.

Additional qualifications at the SES.3 level

Experience leading technical efforts and recommending technical approaches and solutions.Significant experience architecting IT Service Management applications comparable to applications in the ServiceNow platform.Significant experience defining solutions, implementing, maintaining, and/or supporting integrated computing environments in an enterprise environment.

Qualifications We Desire

Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment. Certified ServiceNow Application Developer.Experience with ServiceNow Service Portal, Orchestration and Common Service Data Model implementation. Additional Information

Security Clearance

This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance.  If you are selected, we will initiate a Federal background investigation to determine if you meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Also, all L or Q cleared employees are subject to random drug testing.  Q-level clearance requires U.S. citizenship.
