Overview Salary range for this position is $79,081-$93,038; Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. Remote Work option - Will work the first 90 days in the office. If there is completion of successful 90 day evaluation, will have the opportunity to work 8 days per month in the office and the rest from home. POSITION SUMMARY: The ServiceNow Developer I, under direct supervision of department leadership, plays a key role in maturing the ServiceNow platform. Analyzes users' needs and then design, develop and test solutions to meet those needs. Documents every aspect of solutions as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades. Collaborates with other ServiceNow admins and developers to create solutions, improve processes, support issues/maintenance in order to continually improve service and provide new capabilities on the ServiceNow platform. Assists with the management of customer expectations and customer interactions. Participates in team quality initiatives and uses best practice web programming techniques to configure robust solutions to the client utilizing the ServiceNow platform. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY: Works with process owners to fully understand functionality, pain points and areas of improvements. Assists analysts, administrators, developers and key stakeholders to properly scope, create preliminary design, and plan and schedule ServiceNow solutions to solve business problems. Communicates with service partners in a non-technical way so that business requirements and work efforts can be understood from both the technical and non-technical perspective. Uses ServiceNow configuration and development tools to develop, test and implement solution on the ServiceNow platform. Implements non-complex solutions with guidance and assistance of more experienced application developers. Able to read and interpret data flow diagrams and flowcharts to aid in programming of applications and understand basic concepts of application development and system design. Create and use update sets to move configurations and customizations between ServiceNow instances. Understands existing custom applications within ServiceNow, including integrations with other applications. Under supervision, can make updates to existing custom applications. Understands scripts in various areas of ServiceNow (client scripts, UI actions and UI Policies). Under supervision, can make updates to client scripts, UI actions and UI policies. Assists with ServiceNow testing for developed solutions and platform upgrades. Testing encompasses custom scripting and validation of out of box solutions and document the testing results. Reviews integrations using ServiceNow best practices, (rest API, import sets, web services, email and other relevant technologies). Entry level understanding of data exchange methods as it pertains to supported applications. Performs troubleshooting, root cause analysis and develop fixes for errors and performance issues. Assists with the investigation into problems in their area of expertise by using standard and custom problem management tools and processes. Solves simple issues independently. Creates knowledge articles documenting the policies, procedures, changes and controls for the operation of the ServiceNow platform. Ensures the teams' source build and configuration documentation, manuals and procedures are always up to date and stored in a central location. Assists in monitoring the supportability, performance and availability of applications. Performs defined application maintenance. Assists with defining metrics and analyzes application performance. Assists in investigations into data/application irregularities and helps to identify and resolve potential system problems. Keeps current with knowledge of Common Service Data Model and how it relates to OSF's ServcieNow instance. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associates Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Completion of a Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Business Administration, Computer Science, Healthcare or other closely related field. Experience: 1 year of experience in healthcare or information technology. 1 year of experience with the ServiceNow Platform. Other requirements/information: Basic knowledge and understanding of application development and/or computer programming in C#, Java, C++ or other related programming language.
