$112,800.00 - $188,200.00

This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.

About the Role: 

Lead the development of Solution using AVEVA operations software based on Unified Operations Center (System Platform/OMI) , HMI SCADA implementation, successful delivery of complete solutions which includes IT-OT Convergence, Multiple control systems or historian integration, develop software solution and enable breakthrough user experience. This a critical role which faces customer as SME, act as lead engineer and has good understanding of operations software integration and development Application & systems engineering for AVEVA’s Offsites Solutions for inventory, movement, & blending management, automation, control, & optimization for the refining and terminals industries. 

 

Responsibilities:

Good working experience of system platform models, templates, alarm and events, redundancy configuration, historian, scripting, HMI/OMI development, operation integration servers, PLC/DCS connectivity, real-time data connectivity and virtual environment is a big plus.

Gain expert level knowledge on AVEVA’s product portfolio ( System Platform/OMI/Historian/OI Servers) and solution offering and provide software architecture/consultancy/documentation.

Ability to identify value and good understanding on P&IDs, Drawings, Documents, Data, 3D models, Connectivity to PLC/DCS/IOT-Edge/IT Systems like Maximo, SAP PM Cloud API etc. or Security architecture.

Establish a detailed understanding of the business requirements, performs gap analysis and maps these to core product capabilities.

Participate in Solution Architecture review discussion within the Monitoring and Control Delivery team and well as across practices for multi-practice solution implementation

Define how the solution will be deployed within the customers IT infrastructure, interfacing with 3rd party systems, ensuring that the system is sized based on current and projected data volumes

Contribute to proposals, to include documentation describing the solution design, work breakdown structure, project mandays estimates, project schedule, risk factors/mitigation strategies. Presenting technical elements of the Proposal in support of a bidding cycle

Perform the technical scope of work in-line with that agreed in the Proposal, identifies scope variations and positions these as change requests. Provides technical input and mandays estimates in support of change requests

Lead implementation teams as required

Plan, contribute to, review and sign-off technical project documentation deliverables

Report on project progress to the AVEVA Project/Engineering Manager on both '% complete' and 'estimate to complete' metrics. Proactively highlights risks factors and formulates mitigation strategies

Lead internal / external end-2-end testing and acceptance activities to ensure the deliverables satisfy the agreed scope and meet quality expectations

Lead the 'transition to support' activities to handover the delivered solution to the AVEVA support organization

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Systems/Control Engineering or other discipline with equivalent experience is required. 

Hands on experience of implementation of large scale solutions with in an operations space like Control Centers, IT-OT Integration Software, Network Ops Center, Remote Operations Center or HMI/SCADA/DCS Systems

4-10 years of experience of AVEVA UOC, System Platform/OMI (or relevant) solution implementation is preferred.

Minimum of 4-10 years’ experience of solution architecture and design working in the Services organization or System Integrators of Software providers operating in the Operations Management space.

Must have substantial experience of the complete project lifecycle for medium-scale solution delivery projects to include: scope, requirements, conceptualization, design, build, test, training and roll-out

Understands the concepts of agile development and practices and its importance to the industry (preferred but not mandatory)

Possesses excellent customer facing skills and written/spoken English language skills

Creates high quality, concise, clear documentation in support of Proposals and Projects.

Demonstrates good presentation skills and is able to present proposals or solutions to customers at director level and above. Comfortable presenting to large audiences, such as user groups.

Hybrid working

By default, employees are expected to be in their local AVEVA office three days a week, but some positions are fully office-based. Roles supporting particular customers or markets are sometimes remote.
