The primary purpose of this position is as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) to serve as the subject matter expert for the Services career field within the Force Support Squadron, and ensure reservists are properly trained and equipped to provide wartime combat and peacetime Services support. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and manage the daily activities of the Services Function. Manage the combat readiness of the Sustainment Services Flight. Serve as the principal advisor to Senior Leadership on all Services Readiness issues. Act as Flight Resource Advisor, Wing Lodging Liaison, and Food Service Coordinator. Ensure completion of required administrative duties. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in federal service (or equivalent in other pay systems) which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to perform successfully the duties of the position being filled. Specialized experience is experience which includes assisting in the planning, organizing, guidance, personnel training, and management of administrative tasks that support and ensure mission readiness of the unit. OR EDUCATION: Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or LL.M., if related. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100 percent. To combine education and experience, determine the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level. Then determine the education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level. Finally, add the two percentages. Knowledge and skill in applying analytical, evaluative, and investigative techniques to measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of operations, programs, and activities. Knowledge of the laws, regulations, policies, and precedents that affect programs and associated support resources. Knowledge and understanding of comprehensive range of staff concepts, objectives, policies, and management/organizational techniques. Knowledge of operating programs in order to conduct studies, analyze findings, and make recommendations on substantive operating programs. Ability to plan, organize, and assign work, and to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; skill and ability to prepare project and staff reports, and to deliver briefings to high-level officials. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
