Perform installation and service work on state of the art transformer monitoring equipmentManage installation projects, coordinating with various customer contacts and internal GE Sales and Service teamsPerform troubleshooting and fault finding to Printed Circuit Board (PCB) levelLiaise effectively with customers in job planning, execution, follow-up and sales support, and internally with engineering departments, manufacturing, and Sales teamEHS Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Leadership, conduct field work in compliance with applicable regulations and ensure accurate employee safety practicesAct as a primary technical resource for on-site work and lead in resolving engineering and product issues. Providing technical direction to skilled labor while performing work on customer sites and equipment to assure the executed work reflects the quality standards and attention to detail that maintains a professional image both customer and GE EnergyProvide installation and service direction on-site and remotely, including repairs, replacements, and rebuilds, for a range of equipment vintages, sizes, and application typesProvide both external and internal timely, accurate, professional reportsProvide, audit, and implement quality control requirements for on-site repair and upgrades in compliance with Engineering and Product Department standardsLead schedule details, project milestones, manpower requirements, quality issues, and tools/equipment requirements to the appropriate individuals.Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).Minimum of 1 year of basic experience in the Services & On Site Services.Desired Characteristics:
Strong oral and written communication skills.Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.The base pay range for this position is (72,400.00-90,500.00 USD Annual). The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for overtime. *The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
