**About Citi’s Public Affairs Team**
Enterprise Services and Public Affairs seeks to enhance and protect the reputation of Citi, its businesses and the brand through direct and indirect communication with Citi's various stakeholders, including our colleagues. The Global Communications team is a nimble group in Enterprise Services and Public Affairs that covers a broad scope of responsibilities, ranging from executive communications and public engagements to quarterly earnings and corporate reputation programs as well as communications that support our lines of business. The nature of the work provides a dynamic environment where members of the team serve as company spokespeople to media, drive engagement with colleagues and develop external and internal digital communications for a global workforce of more than 200,000 colleagues. Within Citi, the team works with many internal partners, including senior leadership, and regularly coordinates closely with other members of the Enterprise Services and Public Affairs team across the world.

**About the Role:**
The Services business is inclusive of Treasury & Trade Solutions, which comprises Liquidity Management Services, Payments, and Trade & Working Capital Solutions, all of which are highly integrated. The second is Securities Services, our post-trade and issuer services business. Between our Treasury & Trade Solutions franchise and our Securities Services franchise, we serve approximately 19,000 clients around the world, including 85% of the Fortune 500.
This role will help to shape PR campaigns that enhance Services’ reputation with media and other key external stakeholders as well as internal stakeholders including employees across the entire Services organization and beyond. This includes supporting earned media initiatives and proactive media outreach, new product launches, thought leadership, integrated campaigns, social media content, data-driven storytelling, employee engagement and more.
This role reports to the Managing Director, Global Services Public Affairs.
**This role will:**
+ Help develop proactive communications strategies, programs and tactics to promote products and services, across Payments, Trade, Liquidity, Securities Services and Digital and Data Platforms.
+ Work with the team to maintain, strengthen and/or build relationships with business, finance, tech, trade and other niche sector reporters to drive earned media coverage.
+ Write and edit press releases and other communications materials including talking points, press statements, memos, award submissions, pitches, and other briefing materials.
+ Support the development and distribution of executive memos and other internal communications across the Services business.
+ Identify profile-building activities for key business leaders and help to systematically evolve a thoughtful approach to executive visibility on LinkedIn.
+ Develop and maintain a robust understanding of competitor and industry activity; in tandem, identify risks and opportunities.
+ Work as a collaborative partner within the firm – building relationships with key business leaders within Enterprise Services & Public Affairs and across the Services business.
+ Provide support on issues management to protect Citi’s brand and reputation.
+ Support on internal reporting and audit needs.
+ Staff events to manage press activities and speaking engagements, as needed.
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree required.
+ Minimum 8+ years of work experience in public relations, ideally both internal and external communication skills.
+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
+ Highly proactive, determined and results driven.
+ Interest in and deep understanding of the media landscape and ability to leverage media relationships for both product launches as well as ongoing media pitches that connect Citi’s products and services to key moments in time.
+ A strong background in developing integrated communications campaigns with a focus on media relations, social media, experiential/events.
+ A team player with a track record of success delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
+ Demonstrated project management and decision-making skills.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Work with partner groups and Public Affairs colleagues to develop integrated Communications strategies that support franchise-wide priorities and business line specific programs
+ Draft organizational announcements, initiative-specific communications and talking points, including the coordination of employee-related events.
+ Ensure effective communication cascades and channels that distribute targeted information at the franchise, business line and local team level
+ Writing communication updates and messages as per the Communications plan or to support franchise wide activities as well as business/function line communication
+ Providing communications support for major projects
+ Coordinating communication videos
+ Source, develop, and ensure relevance of content for various channels.
+ Development and implementation of the communications strategy to maintain and strengthen reputation among the key audiences, based on the business and marketing strategy, global and local priorities
+ Promotion of the key advantages of the company, its products and services with external and internal communication instruments among key external audiences and employees
+ Building and strengthening work with the key media pool, key audiences and their representatives. Influencing company’s reputation in the public sphere
+ Anti-crisis communication and mitigation of communication crisis
+ Development of the social media practice usage to strengthen company’s positioning and reputation.
+ Conduction of the public opinion research and development of informational campaigns and services to strengthen company’s positioning and reputation
+ Organize and assist the public speaking of business/function management team (speeches at the forums and conferences, interviews, commentary in the media).
+ Assist the business/function with all information required to strengthen company’s reputation and for implementation of the Public affairs strategy
+ Conduction of the monitoring and analytics of Citibank presence in the media/public field and a plan of relevant corrective actions

**Qualifications:**
+ Knowledge of communications and 6-10 years of experience
+ Strong communications (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence senior executives
+ Integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive professional attitude
+ A team player who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to perform their task
+ Excellent organizational and project management skills
+ Experience or demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment within a heavily matrixed organization
+ Track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
+ Critical competencies include oral communication, written communication, project management, relationship building, results orientation and strategic orientation
