The Servicing Cash Analyst manages the following processes, monitors and tracks incoming and outgoing funds from borrowers, sellers, and Agencies; ensures that funds are dispositioned accordingly. Ensures that all borrower funds are applied accurately and promptly. Review, research, and reconciles the subservicer invoices on a monthly basis; reviews current cash applications and processes and provides recommendations on improvements.Request, track, and route incoming and outgoing funds to/from the appropriate partiesEnsure funds are posted accurately and timely by the subservicerIdentify, research, and resolve borrower loan payment issues between the sellers and subservicerResearch and resolve unidentified checks that are being sent to subservicer as neededReview subservicer invoices to determine accuracy of billing itemsAnalyze incoming reimbursement requests to determine root cause and collaborate with sellers on a resolution to reduce the number of incoming requestsRespond to customer (internal and external), seller, and subservicer requests via email and telephone, assisting in research when appropriateUtilize knowledge of cash systems to assess AmeriHome system needs and provide recommendations regarding system enhancements, including working with IT regarding requirements, and user acceptance testing of solutionsContinuous process improvement (system and process related)Other duties as assignedWhat you'll need:
Minimum 5 years’ mortgage servicing experience, ideally in the cash posting, payment processing, or similar areaHigh school diploma requiredStrong business acumen with demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills.Process analysis and improvement experience.Initiative-taker and initiative-taking to meet job expectations and goals.Ability to work independently and as a collaborator.Clear and effective communication skillsIntermediate understanding of financial reconciliation and balancingBroad knowledge of mortgage servicing - able to effectively research and resolve items across departments.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.)Compensation: Hourly range for new hires is generally $30.35 for Westlake Village, CA.
