**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled **Carpenter Tech** with a strong skillset in set building to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for custom fabrication of exhibit components utilizing wood, plastic, laminates, and metal. Candidates with experience as a set builder, finish carpenter, or custom cabinet builder will excel in this role.
**Responsibilities**
+ Fabricate exhibit and tradeshow booths under the direction of the Shop Manager.
+ Work with the Shop Manager on assigned fabrication projects to support exhibit assets.
+ Lead the carpentry aspect of the fabrication process, especially in set building.
+ **Design and construct intricate set pieces** for exhibits, ensuring they meet aesthetic and structural requirements.
+ **Collaborate with designers and other team members** to bring creative visions to life through detailed set construction.
+ **Utilize advanced carpentry techniques** to create realistic and durable set elements.
+ Construct carts and/or crates to ensure the safe transportation of exhibitions.
+ Adapt to changing priorities as they dynamically shift.
+ Handle heights as necessary; ladder work is common.
+ Carry heavy equipment manually or using necessary equipment as applicable.

+ 2+ years of experience in fabrication using wood, plastic, and metal, or related work; talented hobbyists are welcome.
+ Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting equipment, bending, standing, climbing, and walking.
+ Ownership of basic carpentry tools.
+ Proficiency in various finished work such as laminate, melamine, and moldings.
+ Ability to read and understand CAD drawings, blueprints, and diagrams.
+ Basic knowledge of math and measurements.
+ Experience with hand and power tools, and tape measures.

+ Willingness to work overtime as requested through the holidays.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a shop setting where you will perform various construction tasks with a team of 5-10 onsite. Expected work hours are Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

This is a Contract position based out of Denver, Colorado.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00
