**Job Title: Set-Up Mechanic** **Job Description** The set-up and repair mechanic is responsible for preparing and troubleshooting dies to run production that meets customer requirements. They maintain and care for the dies, ensuring they are in proper, clean, and working condition. **Responsibilities** + Prepare jobs on press according to work orders. + Set up machines, including verifying materials, metals, and thickness. + Clean or lubricate machinery. + Check parts for proper tolerances and blemishes through visual quality inspections. + Set up the press machines prior to operation to ensure parts are produced properly. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of mechanical or industrial maintenance experience. + 2+ years of experience with hand tools. + 1+ year of blueprint experience. + Experience in troubleshooting and maintenance as a technician. + Proficiency in machine setup, die change, and press operation. + Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment. + Mechanically inclined with experience in stamping press and press machine operation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Degree required. + 2+ years of experience in a production/manufacturing setting. + Prior experience/exposure to using measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers is preferred. + Must have their own basic tools. + Good math skills, including basic arithmetic and working with fractions. **Why Work Here?** This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with benefits including medical, dental, and vision. The production floor is not air-conditioned. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pompano Beach, Florida. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
