You'll train and mentor junior teammates, ensuring machinery operates efficiently and production goals are met. This role demands technical proficiency, troubleshooting expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality. **Key Responsibilities:** + Set up and repair machinery based on diagrams, manuals, and specifications. + Train and mentor junior team members. + Use hand and power tools for repairs, replacements, and adjustments. + Mount, align, and secure fixtures, dies, and welding heads. + Perform startup and shutdown procedures, ensuring proper machine operation. + Run samples and make necessary adjustments to meet production standards. + Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on complex equipment. + Coordinate the purchase of parts and repairs as needed. + Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in collaboration with engineers and technicians. + Load and handle heavy materials as required. + Support new equipment installation and space planning. + Assist in monitoring production processes to ensure quality and efficiency. + Demonstrate company values: honesty, integrity, and respect. **Impact:** + Ensure continuous machine operation and production efficiency. + Collaborate with management to implement necessary changes for plant maintenance. **Safety Responsibilities:** + Follow safety protocols, wear proper protective equipment, and ensure safe operation of machinery. + Promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the workplace. + Report hazards, injuries, or unsafe practices immediately. **Skills & Requirements:** + 5+ years of related experience in machine setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. + Strong knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. + Proficiency in machine operation, automation, calibration, failure analysis, and more. + Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC), robotics, and total productive maintenance (TPM). + Ability to apply algebra and geometry to resolve complex issues. + Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Syteline ERP software. **Education:** + High School Diploma or GED (required). + Associate Degree or 2-year technical certificate preferred. **Physical Requirements:** + Frequent standing, occasional walking, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs using proper techniques. + Ability to use hands and arms for manipulation, and perform tasks requiring vision, depth perception, and focus.
