A Setup Operator will be responsible for performing typical machine shop setups, and functions to support the production floor. This includes operating and setting-up machining equipment in a specialty fastener processing facility. This role will be expected to operate as the main order setup to facilitate the efficiency and improvement of current procedures.

Responsibilities:

Setup machining department equipment for order productionManage daily production requirements and deliveryPerform first article inspections to verify part quality at setupDesign and machine production fixtures and toolsReview work inspections, blueprints, or samples to identify and propose machine setup and in-process improvementsMaintain safe, clean, and organized equipment and workstationsSupport Lean manufacturing activitiesSupport quality and daily problem-solving activitiesPerform other duties as assigned by management to support production team

Qualifications:

Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and standard operating proceduresMust be mechanically inclinedExperience with manual machining; experience with lathes and millsExperience with CNC machining setup a plusLight to moderate physical effort required; Must be able to lift up to 30 poundsFamiliar with control systems; PLC and HMI programing a plusHigh School diploma or GED requiredMust be eligible for employment in the United States

Hourly Rate between $25.00-$30.00 (depending on experience).
