**Job Title: Set Up Technician**
**Job Description**
The Set Up Technician will be responsible for machine setup and operation to meet product requirements, troubleshooting equipment and packaging issues. This role includes performing quality checks, documenting issues, and conducting basic repairs. Technicians will conduct trial runs, monitor machine workflow, and pack finished goods to assist IOs. They will work closely with the Maintenance team and troubleshoot converting machines, performing preventive maintenance on auxiliary equipment to ensure all machines operate smoothly. Additionally, they will cover for operators during breaks or cleaning duties.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate machines to meet product requirements.
+ Troubleshoot equipment and packaging issues.
+ Perform quality checks and document issues and basic repairs.
+ Conduct trial runs and monitor machine workflow.
+ Pack finished goods to assist IOs.
+ Work alongside the Maintenance team to troubleshoot converting machines.
+ Perform preventive maintenance on auxiliary equipment.
+ Cover for operators during breaks or cleaning.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1-2 years of machine setup or PM tech experience.
+ 1 year of experience with hand tools and basic mechanical repairs.
+ 1 year of product inspection experience.
+ Experience with machine troubleshooting and basic repairs.
+ Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, and standing all day.
+ Ability to read a ruler up to 1/32 of an inch.
+ 1 year of documentation experience (quality issue reporting, downtime, machine repairs).
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 2 years of setup/PM experience on converting, slitter, or extrusion machines (FMC or CMD brand).
+ Bag/pouch production experience.
+ Experience in a packaging environment.
+ Experience assisting the maintenance team with machine breakdowns or repairs.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a GMP setting requiring compliance with gowning protocols including hair nets, beard nets, shoe covers, safety glasses, and sometimes gloves. The facility is temperature-controlled, spacious, and equipped with updated amenities.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $42000.00
