As a SETS Operation Manager supporting the Shared Entertainment Technical Services team at the Walt Disney World resort, you manage the rigging technician team in safety, regulatory guidelines, training, daily operations, special event development, and production planning.
This is a casual temporary/seasonal role that will report to the Manager of Technical Resources.
What You Will Do
Lead our rigging team in all areas of safety, following regulatory guidelines, and critical trainingBe responsible for daily rigging operations, special event development, and production planningCollaborate with our Disney Live Entertainment (DLE) Technical Design and domestic rigging teamsBuild, develop, and maintain positive relationships with our rigging teams and partners domesticallyRequired Qualifications & Skills
3 to 5 years of professional experience in theatrical or event production and/or stage managementDemonstrated experience with STCU/IATSE bargaining agreements as well as rigging technician managementKnowledge of rigging equipment, including overhead structure design safety guidelinesExperience in budget and schedule creation and management with attention to detailFamiliarity with financial & project systems such as R2, SAP, special event budget development, tracking & reportingKnowledge of the rigging industry and vendor interfaceProven successful team-building and partnership experienceOutstanding communication skills and comfort interacting with all levels of managementProven ability to initiate, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks on timeProven strong analytical, administrative, delegation, and negotiation skillsWillingness to obtain Pyro credentialsEducation
