SEXUAL ASSAULT RESPONSE COORDINATOR (SAR WF)
Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Shortage Category and/or Critical Need Positions under 5 USC 9902(b)(2) - DHA for Department of the Defense Prevention Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as a Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC WF) with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Great Lakes and Ohio River Division Headquarters in Cincinnati, OH. Responsibilities Serve as the point of contact for coordinating care to ensure that sexual harassment complainants and sexual assault victims receive appropriate and responsive care. Conduct response activities in the event of a sexual harassment complaint or sexual assault. The incumbent emphasizes the commitment to maintain a workplace environment that rejects sexual harassment and sexual assault and attitudes that promote such behaviors. Provide policy guidance and other information for victims of sexual harassment and sexual assault, subordinate unit commanders, first responders, and those who seek to prevent or respond to sexual harassment and sexual assault. Provide program direction and guidance to all concerning reporting procedures, confidentiality, training, safety tips and resources. Track services provided to victims of sexual assault and sexual harassment from initial report of sexual assault through disposition and resolution or until the victim no longer wishes to receive SHARP services. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. A) Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes providing managerial and technical assistance in sexual assault prevention and response; evaluating programs to identify and resolve systematic sexual harassment or sexual assault issues; directing program activities that emphasize prevention of sexual assault and harassment; and evaluating programs and study findings to develop sexual harassment and sexual assault policy and guidelines. OR B) Successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Public Administration, Public Health, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Behavior Sciences, Education Counseling. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR C) The specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have at least two years of graduate education as described in B, but less than the required three years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
