Job Summary: The Bravas Shade Installer Technician will be an integral member of the Bravas in-house shade team. This role involves working closely with Bravas Project Managers to ensure the successful installation of shading systems during the rough-in and trim out phases of home construction. The technician will gain hands-on experience in both the custom integration and installation of various shading solutions. Knowledge, Skills/Abilities: Installation of shading rough in components during rough in phase of home construction Installation of shading communication wiring from shade panels to shade locations within the home Communicate progress and updates to Bravas Project Managers regularly. Learn and master the installation of shade pockets Learn and master the art of accurate window measuring for shades and drapery, and installation of those items Learn and program the control of shades by setting up handheld remotes for raise/lower Install all types of shading systems: Specifically, Lutron & Screen Innovations shades Maintain a high level of onsite professionalism while interacting with Bravas sales staff, custom home builders, architects and designers. Always wear the Bravas uniform and conduct oneself professionally to uphold the company’s standards. Collaborate with the team to perform shade and keypad prewires onsite, ensuring efficient and precise installation. Proficiency in reading and understanding home schematics/blueprints Proficiency in using standard installation tools and equipment. Basic understanding of electrical systems and construction practices. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. This position involves working in residential construction environments. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical or vocational training in a related field is a plus. Experience in shade installation or a related field is preferred. Ability to read and understand construction plans and blueprints. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with project managers and clients. Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship. Professional demeanor with the ability to represent Bravas positively. Physical ability to perform the duties required, including lifting, standing, and handling tools and equipment. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, or bending may be required. Will actively have ladder use Must be able to lift up to 30-45 pounds at times.
