This position has been segmented "Remote Anywhere" meaning the work is completed 100% remote anywhere in the U.S. except Hawaii or United States Territories.
The Director of Transformation & Transitions will build a high-performing team comprised of Business Analysts and other strategic resources who can transform the Shared Business Services Organization to reach the ambition set and drive value to the Company. The role will be pivotal in helping US Foods Shared Business Services work cross-functionally to strategize and implement projects and initiatives that will advance the SBS Organization’s journey to become the undisputed best, accelerating value and delighting our customers. This role is a critical business partner to a cross functional team of stakeholders including Shared Business Services Leadership, Sales, Finance, Category Management, Supply Chain, Replenishment, Pricing, Logistics, Transformation Office, and Accounting. This position is expected to contribute to the development and execution of the Shared Business Services Transformation Strategy and be an integral member of the SBS Transformation & Strategy Leadership Team.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
**People Leadership & Talent Development (35%)**
+ Build a diverse, high performing team with the right talent capabilities, priding themselves on being strong business partners within the organization and externally.

+ Develop a robust talent pipeline with adequate succession planning and investments in growth and development of team members.
**Strategy Development and Execution (25%)**
+ Collaborate with the SBS Transformation Leadership Team to create a vision for the Transformation & Transitions Organization that is aligned to the SBS Leadership strategic direction of strong collaboration and a common process across Towers.
+ Support the build and execution of the Shared Business Services Transformation Roadmap which considers synergies across various processes and teams to advance the value of the SBS Organization, acting as a change champion across the enterprise.
+ Drive strategic alignment and lead execution of key initiatives ranging from business process standardization, optimization, integrations, and project implementations.
+ Establish a governance structure with the Company’s Managed Services provider to accelerate the value of the partnership and ensure appropriate strategic and operational oversight.
+ Define and execute the SBS Organization continuous improvement strategy to advance the impact and be influential business partners.
+ Understand best practices within the industry and challenge current thinking to develop a highly effective organization.
+ Facilitate initiative scoping discussions, defining success measures, and setting expectations for cross-functional teams with a focus on business outcomes and benefit realization.
+ Communicate and lead through influence amongst all levels within the organization to support company initiatives.
+ Define and implement a talent strategy inclusive of hiring/recruiting, performance management and succession planning aimed at securing and retaining the best talent for all roles to support the future vision.
**Support Continuous Improvement and Operational Performance (35%)**
+ Develop strong business partnerships internally and externally through delivery of best-in-class performance, providing enterprise-wide value through common capabilities that scale across processes.
+ Oversee a team supporting multiple highly impactful initiatives that range in size, complexity, and duration involving staff within Organization and across functional teams.
+ Demonstrate deep understanding of Operational processes across the SBS organization, identifying how improvement opportunities advance key results, deliverables, and technology platforms.
+ Accountable for governance of Managed Services provider and serve as liaison between stakeholders, functional counterparts, and SBS Operations leadership to ensure successful project and transformation delivery.
+ Ensure successful execution of Managed Services Operations to consistently achieve performance targets, major deliverables, and committed business case value.
+ Lead a team serving as the focal point of escalation for issues and disputes arising from the Managed Services partnership, root causing and driving resolution.
+ Lead transition of new work into SBS organization, effectively structuring work within the optimal service delivery model.
+ Leverage data and insights from Operations and Analytics to drive change, identify opportunities for standardization and set consistency standards partnering with the right stakeholders to implement.
+ Develop processes to audit and validate quality of work performed by Managed Services provider and SBS Operations organization.
+ Challenge legacy practices to identify automated solutions and drive out manual waste, spending more time on value added processes and analysis.
+ Looks to standardization, simplification, and optimization as a way of daily working.
+ Engage with cross-functional teams to support company LRP initiatives that materially impact to the way we do business as a Company.
+ Promotes a CI culture within the team by implementing lean thinking and continuous improvement tools that drive measurable and sustainable improvements.
+ Effectively design team to scale with business changes and initiatives.
**Personal Development (5%)**
+ Create, refine, and execute individual development plan to grow within role or prepare for other opportunities.
+ Engage in opportunities to learn and network both internally and externally to develop a well-rounded perspective and bring best in class practices to the role.
+ Pursue personal and learning development opportunities such as Employee Resource Groups (ERG), LMS courses, webinars, etc.
**SUPERVISION**
Business Analysts (currently 8 Direct Reports with opportunity to build out team and leadership structure)
**RELATIONSHIPS**
**Internal:** SBS Functions, IT, I&A, Sales Leadership, Field Finance, Category Management, Replenishment, Pricing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Accounting and Finance
**External:** US Foods Managed Service Provider, Technology Partners
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education/Training:**
+ Bachelor’s degree, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.
**Related Experience:**
+ Prior US Foods cross functional experience, highly preferred
+ Ten (10) years of related experience which could include program management, leading through influence across multiple teams to deliver results
+ Eight (8) years of management and leadership experience including evidence of developing a high performing team, preferred
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**
+ Outstanding verbal communication and interpersonal skills
+ Demonstrated ability influencing multiple stakeholders at various levels in the organization, external customers and vendors
+ Professional leadership skills, able to lead under pressure
+ Exceptional technical and analytical skills, able to think creatively and develop new solutions
+ Achieves results through collaborating effectively with others and team members.
+ Strong communication skills to effectively convey relevant information and ideas with confidence and professionalism
+ Ability to develop a high performing team and sets high standards to inspire self and others to reach top performance

+ Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint required
+ Ability to understand proprietary US Foods systems (e.g. Prism, Tandem, PeopleSoft, EZ Claims)
+ Ability to respond to quickly learn new procedures, processes, product information
+ Ability to work weekends or holidays if business needs dictate
+ Ability and willingness to travel for training or business meetings as needed (10%)

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $110k - $180k.
This role will also receive: annual incentive plan bonus, long-term incentive program
