Description Job Title: SharePoint Administrator (Contract – Remote) Location: Remote (Non-Profit Organization in Washington, DC) Duration: Approx. 3 months (Temporary Contract) Industry: Non-Profit (Less than 50 Employees) Job Description: Our client, a mission-driven non-profit organization based in Washington, DC, is seeking a SharePoint Administrator to support their Box to SharePoint migration project. This is a remote, contract role for approximately 3 months, working alongside an MSP that is handling the heavy lifting of the migration. The selected candidate will serve as a key consultative resource, ensuring the migration aligns with best practices and meets the organization’s operational needs. Key Responsibilities: + Provide expert guidance on best practices for Box to SharePoint migrations (must have done at least 3-5 of these in previous roles). + Act as a liaison between the organization and the MSP, ensuring a smooth transition. + Offer strategic insights into planning, governance, and optimization of SharePoint usage. + Assist in post-migration troubleshooting and knowledge transfer to internal staff. + Ensure SharePoint is structured efficiently for document management and collaboration. + Train and support staff in SharePoint best practices after the migration. Required Qualifications: + Proven experience (3-5 migrations in previous roles) specifically from Box to SharePoint (experience with Dropbox is not applicable). + Strong understanding of SharePoint administration, governance, and best practices. + Experience working in a consultative role, guiding organizations through migration projects. + Ability to collaborate effectively with external vendors and internal stakeholders. + Experience with non-profit organizations is a plus but not required. Requirements Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced SharePoint and Microsoft Teams Consultant to lead the migration of content from Box to SharePoint Online and OneDrive, and to configure Microsoft Teams and Channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SharePoint and Teams architecture, migration strategies, and best practices. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: + Support the from Box Migration to SharePoint/OneDrive and Teams Optimization project. The files will be accessible primarily via MS Teams. + Configure and customize SharePoint Online and OneDrive to meet organizational requirements. + Set up and configure Microsoft Teams and Channels to facilitate collaboration and communication. + Provide training and support to end-users on SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams functionalities and best practices. + Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the migration and configuration processes. + Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition. + Create documentation including user guides and technical documentation. Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. + Proven experience with a Box to SharePoint migration and with Microsoft Teams. + Strong understanding of SharePoint and Teams architecture, administration, and customization. + Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and other migration tools. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Skills: + Experience with third-party migration tools such as ShareGate or AvePoint. + Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and related services. + Certification in SharePoint, Teams, or related technologies.
