The SharePoint Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SharePoint sites and technology governance processes within the organization. This role ensures the effective use of SharePoint to meet business needs and improve collaboration and productivity. This role is also responsible for maintaining and enhancing the EA SharePoint site using MS Power Tools and should have sound knowledge of AWS Services to perform POCs to prove architecture patterns before documenting them on SharePoint. The secondary function of this role is to perform as an EA Solution and Technology Governance admin to facilitate the execution of a Solution and Technology Governance process against a request to approve a new technology or a solution.

This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement.  Candidates who live near one of our office locations will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday)  Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SharePoint Development:

·Perform development activities on the EA SharePoint site using Microsoft PowerAutomate, PowerApps, and Power BI tools.

2. Cloud and AWS:

Create POC’s in a cloud environment

3. Pattern Documentation

Maintain and enhance detailed documentation of modern reference architecture patterns using AWS Cloud and Cloud Native Services in SharePoint.

4. Collaboration:

Collaborate with requesters of new technology or solutions to identify the appropriate EA individual for approval or rejection.Work with peers to assign primary assessors for new technology or solution governance requests.

5. Governance and Compliance:

Develop and implement an end-to-end technology governance process.Manage solution and technology governance processesLead governance sessions and facilitate the scoring of solutions from a design quality perspectiveMaintain a list of forthcoming initiatives scheduled for governance

6. Permit to Build Tollgate

Establish and manage a permit to build tollgate for solution governance

Qualifications:

· Minimum Years of Experience: At least 2-5 years of experience in SharePoint development with AWS/Cloud experience· Required Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.· Preferred Education: An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly valued.· Industry Experience: Prior experience in a regulated industry (e.g., insurance, healthcare) is highly desirable.· Technical Skills: Proficiency in SharePoint development, Microsoft Power tools, AWS services, and cloud architecture· Soft Skills: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Expected Results:

Advanced SharePoint Development:

Develop and maintain the EA SharePoint site with a 99% uptime.Implement automation and reporting tools using PowerAutomate, PowerApps, and Power BI, improving workflow efficiency by 25%

AWS Expertise:

Utilize AWS services effectively, developing at least 5 new architecture patterns annually.Ensure all documented patterns are up-to-date and reflect best practices in cloud-native services.

Comprehensive Documentation:

Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of reference architecture patterns, with quarterly reviews and updates.Ensure all documentation is easily accessible and understandable by relevant stakeholders

Enhanced Compliance

Ensure all solutions and technologies adhere to EA standards and industry regulationsAchieve 100% compliance in audits related to these regulations

Effective Governance Processes:

Successfully establish and maintain the permit to build tollgate, ensuring timely review and approval of applicationsImplement a robust end-to-end technology governance process, reducing the time to approve new technology products by 30%.Improved Solution Quality:Lead governance sessions that result in high-quality design solutions, with a target of 90% of solutions scoring above the defined quality threshold.·Maintain an up-to-date list of initiatives, ensuring all are reviewed and scored on time.

Seamless Collaboration

Foster effective collaboration between requesters and EA team members, ensuring clear communication and timely approvalsAssign primary assessors for new technology requests within 24 hours of submission.

Efficient EA Tool Administration

Define and report KPIs accurately, with monthly updates on metrics such as Tech Debt, Reverse Demand by LOB, and technology request outcomesAchieve a 95% accuracy rate in KPI report

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$126,160 - $189,240
