SharePoint Engineer – Mid Level
Job Summary:
DT Professional Services is seeking a mid level SharePoint Engineer to support our DISA Client in Crystal City, Virginia. We provide reliable Engineering (Backend support) and Analytical support services including Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamic 365 Customer Relations Management (CRM) platforms as a service to its customer base to host a variety of mission applications, collaboration, business intelligence, and workflows. Our team operates, maintains, assimilates, and upgrades multiple SharePoint and CRM instances. We examine and rationalize the existing content and customizations in the SharePoint production farms with the intent of migration to future generation environments.

As an SharePoint Engineer, you will be using cutting edge SharePoint technologies to deliver the best solutions to our clients, resolve issues, system configuration, perform upgrades, and implement changes to the environment to maintain the SharePoint/CRM environments. An Interim Secret Clearance is required. This position is Hybrid (1 to 2 days on site as needed at the Pentagon (JNOSC) and/or CG1 in Crystal City, VA).

As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating daily with assigned supervisors, Sr. SharePoint Engineer/Architect, and staying focused on the assigned tasks.

Responsibilities:Provide tier 3 technical support for on-premise SharePoint & CRM environmentsProvide on-call support for high level incident and outages outside standard work hours as neededTroubleshoots, manages, and configures IIS and SharePoint infrastructureFacilitate and support troubleshooting of systems included but not limited to OS, SQL, Trellix (HBSS), networking, firewall, and any other components to support a fully functioning SharePoint/CRM farmHarden and ensure security compliance of all servers by:Patching on a recurring basisApplying STIGS as needed (Ensure current STIG checklists are up to date and validate when new STIGs are released by DISA for SharePoint systems)Work closely with SharePoint Architect ensure enterprise infrastructure designs adhere to DOD security requirementsRemediate IAVA findings for SharePoint and Dynamics CRMInstall, configure, and maintain on-premise SharePoint and CRM environmentsSupport upgrades and migrations for SharePoint & CRMProvide input for Weekly and Monthly ReportsSubmit and track Change Request, Incidents & Work Orders in ServiceNow (SNOW) as needed and work with Service Partners to resolveParticipate in Change Board meetings as necessaryProvide ADHOC SharePoint/CRM infrastructure related reports as neededMaintain and peer review on periodic basis of internal Engineering assets - master server list, script repository, etc.Maintain supporting infrastructure documentationMaintain and track application-level certificates for all SharePoint / CRM farms on NIPR/SIPRWork with custom development team to deploy solutions to on-prem SharePoint/CRM farmsBasic Qualifications:A DoD issued active Secret ClearanceA Security+ Certificate or equivalent1-3 years of infrastructure/system engineering experienceExperience with SharePoint 2013, 2016, & 2019Familiarity with SharePoint Online and CRM systemsGeneral CRM/Platform/Server ExperienceGeneral experience with CRM/SharePoint farm and site configurationGeneral/working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, group policy, LAN/WAN, IP addresses, and SQL server administration to complete a variety of projectsTroubleshooting experience, working through various technical issues related to SharePoint or dependenciesMicrosoft or FedVTE certification focused on Server OS, SharePoint, or CRMExcellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently and solve problemsThe desire to gain or use extra-curricular certifications as part of ongoing professional growthApplicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirementsPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree IT or EngineeringExperience with Migration Tools such as AvePoint DocAve, FlyExperience with O365 services and migrationsAcquired Microsoft certificationsAbility to support a Dynamics Office 365 environment (on-premise)Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Splunk)Experience with disaster recovery efforts for ITCyber Security Technical Engineering Support to SharePointThe compensation range for this position: $90,000 - $135,000 annually.
